With the changing global environment, a suitable job is of utmost importance for the graduating Engineers, Managers and Pharmacists which becomes a fitting opportunity and a mode of growth for the students, as they transit from the College to Corporate. Corporate Resource Centre at SGI constantly works towards ensuring that every student gets the right skill and domain knowledge which will help him to easily fit into the role in their respective industry. There is a shift in paradigms with respect to the professional environment today wherein there is a need for individuals equipped with the right knowledge, innovative thought process and out of the box thinking, apart from their technical skills. It is not just important to work hard; it is more important to work smart.

Team CRC uses a three-pronged approach so as to enable our students obtain the right skills, in keeping with the industry standards and expectations. The three-pronged working of the CRC includes:

  • Placement Cell maintains constant liaison and interaction with the related Industry to bring in the Companies for recruitment and also to receive updates/ feedback from the Industry needs and standards that helps prepare the students for their Industry experience effectively.
  • Communication and Personality Development Training that helps students to attain the necessary soft skills and capabilities which aid the students in achieving success and satisfaction in the field of work.
  • Co-ordination between the Technical Departments, Students and Placement activities so that there is sync between the professional knowledge, students’ skill and industry norms.

The placement season commences in the first month of every academic year and continues till the end of the academic year. Pre-Placement Talks are conducted for the final year students prior to the commencement of placement session every year.

  • Communication, Relationship building and networking with potential recruiters.
  • Summer training and internships apart from placement drives which include on site, off site as well as online recruitments drives.
  • Career talks by established professionals to impart knowledge regarding the employment opportunities related to relevant field and interest of the students.
  • Soft skill and Communication training for the students from the first year itself so as to elevate their confidence levels and prepare them for their transition to the Industry.
  • GD and Mock training for the students of Final Year to facilitate their preparation for the Recruitment rounds.

  • Grooming students in terms of Personality and technical skills.
  • Increasing interaction with the industry during Training.
  • Increasing involvement in the activities of the placement cell.
  • Developing proper understanding of the subject matter.
  • Betterment in the academics so as to be able to meet the criterion set by the companies.
